SHELTERED SIN

Sheltered Sin is a publication I created as part of my Undergraduate Degree in Communication Design at Swinburne University of Technology. I’ve long had a fascination with abandoned buildings, so I aimed to create a publication that explored these structures both in Australia and abroad. The publication featured articles on the abandoned 6 Flags theme park in New Orleans post Katrina, Australia’s notorious Pentridge Prison and Aleister Crowleys Abby of Thelma in Cefalu, Sicily where various satanic rituals where held in the mid 20’s. The publication also displayed various 35mm shots taken by myself and Joel Sammut illustrating the underbelly of life in Sydney. It was recognised by Swinburne as an outstanding piece of work at the end of year exhibition, and was also recognised by the Australian Graphic Design Association Biennale as a finalist at the 2012 student awards in the print category.
